At home outdoors – that’s been the Gfällers’ motto from the very beginning. Whether in Lapland, on a mountain pasture in East Tyrol or with a tent in the south, the main thing was nature. As the offspring of an alpine-obsessed family, the classic path would have been into ski (bob) sports. But Basti preferred the unknown single trail to the familiar forest path. Dexterity, creativity and critical judgement distinguish him thanks to years of motorbike trial competitions. Humility, bite and stamina are the fruit of countless years on the MTB and, more recently, year-round bouldering on natural rock. Coupled with a master’s degree in cultural and social anthropology and several years of editorial work, Basti thus stands securely on any PR ground.
